Youth Pre-job Awareness Program Needy Seniors and Needy Adult Support
Redemption Quality of Life Center is a community-based non-profit organization, an outreach center, sponsored by Redemption Community World Ministries, Inc., a 501C3 church organization.
Redemption Quality of Life Center provides ongoing support to families and youth in crisis, in inner city communities, particularly in the Ease New York/Brownsville areas of New York City, its five boroughs of New York City and the rest of the United States, by which such entities could enhance their life qualities. Since its inception, the entity has been fulfilling its purpose by providing support to families through its food pantry program. The entity also operates as a valuable family intervention mechanism through which children, youth and adults, and families are provided with information through which they could better their lives.
Redemption Quality of Life Center's goal is to provide support by which families could be held together as instruments of positive change in their domiciled communities. The vehicles through which this is accomplished is through our family intervention program which provides support to families in crisis in a variety of ways. At the center, our primary focus is the preparation of our youth for responsible adulthood and the provision of support by which sustained family unity and deliverance could be promoted, toward bettering neighborhoods, villages and the rest of the nation.
In keeping with its goals to help every family, every youth, as they strive meaningful citizens in their communities, the center implements the following:
This program is designed to provide families with support through which they could move from poverty to meaningful contributors to their communities.
The center implements a unique copyrighted method promoting the development of quality families in inner cities. The method is centered around defining problem by which inner city families are affected, intervening on behalf of such families, defining such problems, finding and implementing workable solution to such problems and providing technical support to those families.
Youth Pre-job Awareness Program Job Training: Youths are provided with relevant training and additional support that would enable them to find appropriate jobs. Through the center's job application program, youths are provided with application for government and private sector jobs as well as requirement for such jobs.
Specifically, youth are show how they should conduct themselves on job interviews as they attempt to secure jobs. They are also examined for adequate resumč and pre-job skills.
The young people are matched with qualified vendors through which they could become apprenticed in plumbing, carpentry, electrician mechanic, HVAC, computers hardware and other technical skills.
Our educational concepts stem from the precepts presented at our school of philosophy, Redemption Institute of Theology. Our educational program is centered around youths and adults and is designed to complement the program of education that is provided by the schools that the youth attend. Emphasis is placed on enhancing the reading, math, reasoning/critical thinking, vocational and other capacities of the youth.
Our youth education program emphasizes adult vocational and early childhood and school age education. Tutoring would be provided through our after school program. Participants are exposed to a who-language approach giving them a chance to experience the world through each other's eyes and using all the academic subject areas.
Our education program also features performing arts, providing inner city youth with professional training in piano/keyboard, string and wind instruments. Students are trained to read the music scores and also encouraged to write their own music. Music program is offered through a copyrighted concept.
Needy Seniors and Needy Adult Support Hunger can be ravaging to poor families. Often, the very basis of dangerous arguments that may arise in some families is centered around food. Moneys that should be used to purchase food for families are diverted to other necessary uses, or just do not exist. The end result could be starvation for the inner-city family, whose extended family support could be often non existent. To help alleviate this problem, the center distributes food to the hungry at its pantry in the East New York/Brownsville sectors of Brooklyn. Presently, we feed hungry seniors, wherever they are domiciled throughout our community, as a means by which they could avoid hunger. Any excess food, clothes or other proceeds that the center receives from it activities are distributed to other non-profit agencies that provide services to the needy.
Our goal is to ultimately provide needy seniors with: food, clothing, counseling, trips, companionship, recreation and entertainment.
The Redemption Quality of Life Center's food pantry sources good quality food from local food banks, manufacturers and warehouses, and distributes same through our pantry to the homeless, the poor and senior citizens who cannot afford to purchase food.
The food pantry serves the hungry, including seniors, the youth, the homeless and any hungry person in our community.
